Today’s Sign of the Apocalypse

T-Shirt: I Had An Abortion.

Planned Parenthood glorifies abortion — again.

And they have the nerve do it with a shirt that looks like it’s been dipped in a vat of blood. How’s that for a big “fuck you!” to anyone who is pro-life and has a moral conscience?

I used to be vehemently pro-abortion, in my young, liberal days. Since then I’ve come to understand just how far our society has gone in undermining and destroying the concept of “family”. Most often abortion is an act of ultimate selfishness, pure and simple. I can understand it in the case of rape, or incest, or if the mother’s life is in danger. But to brag about the fact that you murdered an innocent human being is more disgusting than anything I can imagine.

So, in the grand tradition of Photoshop parodies (AllahPundit, Red Line Rants 1 and 2, Sharp as a Marble, Treacher, Vigilance Matters), we here at Dead Can’t Rant came up with a few of our own:

T-Shirt: I drowned my five children in the bathtub.T-Shirt: I was selfish.
T-Shirt: I didn't keep my legs closed.T-Shirt: Mom taught me how to kill.

And then, there’s the one that women should wear:

T-Shirt: I had my baby.

So let me guess, wearing this t-shirt is a big “FUCK YOU”, which is totally unacceptable, but if you wore a shirt that said “Pro-life” it would be fine, am I right? It’s wrong of THEM to express THEIR opinion, because you don’t believe it’s moral. But not the other way around, I’m guessing. Nevermind that, it’s unacceptable for them to make these t-shirts, to minimize the shame that society has associated with abortion, but it’s totally acceptable (and mature?) for you to photoshop the pictures in an offensive manner.

Way to not recognize your double standard. No wonder people don’t take pro-lifers seriously, if these are the advocates.

If someone who had an abortion wasn’t a victim of incest or rape (mind you, all you have to do to claim rape is say “no” when a man is trying to have sex with you), then they almost certainly engaged in consensual sex that comes (even if a condom was used) with the possibility of pregnancy. I’m pro-choice and pro-consequence. That was the choice. Four months later when the woman decides she dosn’t want the responsibility that came with her actions is not the time for choosing. It is wrong for (not “of”) someone to wear a shirt that flaunts this choice as liberating for them, because it’s a freedom from consequence that comes at the price of an inocent human’s right to live.

“I didnĀ“t keep my legs closed, perhaps we are all still just some apes, yes it`s to think about, but perhaps not to justify..

Wow, the world is getting pretty scary when people start wearing shirts like that. Making the choice to have an abortion should be a deeply personal and difficult one and should not be displayed proudly on a T shirt. By the way, what ever happened to adoption? In the media, it’s all about having your baby (and often wrecking both the baby and the mothers life) or getting an abortion. How about doing the right thing and giving the baby up to a family who desperately wants one and is ready (emotionally and financially) for that kind of responsibility? One of my dearest friends was very close to being aborted, but thanks to her grandmother who talked her mom out of it, she was adopted into a wonderful family. I realize that there is a stigma attached to “giving up” your baby, but people who do should be proud that they gave that child a chance at a better life instead of taking the easy way out.

    Just a thought.

Well it is a good thing your mothers were not just like you sick people. Had she been, you murderers would be dead, and then you wouldn’t be writing this nonsense on the freaking internet.
